Cat acting wierd

My girlfriend recently brought her cat to My place about two months ago. Everything was fine until around last week.

The cat (which is maybe between two to three years old) has always been living with at least seven other cats in the family and is now living alone with me and my girlfriend. My girl has a job and i had school up until a couple of weeks ago so The cat has been alone between, typically, 8-14 on weekdays. She has always been vocal and meowing when you Come up to her and is going to Pet her, but these last few days shes been insufferable. Today we also noticed she will climb into any "cave" she can find, either if we lift up our covers or If theres a hole underneath The mattress etc.

Other than meowing, seeking attention, and looking for holes shes normal, eating and pooping as she always has.

Is this normal behaviour or could she be stressed or anything similar?
