Anyone else have an elderly cat that unexpectedly lost weight for no reason?

Hello, I have a 10 year old cat who lost 2.5 lbs in 2 months. He has always been a big boy-not fat. He has no symptoms of disease, but I was nervous since he looks so "bony". I took him to the vet and we did tests for diabetes and thyroid-all tests came back negative. Needless to say I spent $500 because I wanted to make sure he was okay. Does anyone else have a senior cat who lost weight rapidly and then just stayed skinny? Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, I am a worried cat mama.
