Psycho Kitty and the Crazy One
A few months ago I posted about Psycho Kitty (2.5years), about how he destroys furniture, screams at night, and is full of energy and a bad temper. It ended up being unnecessary because he calmed himself down after I went on vacation for a week (he's now generally a huge sweetheart, so I guess he came to appreciate me [except for when he enters schizo cat mode]), but I eventually got a second cat to help siphon off his energy.
It doesn't work that way apparently. They love each other, but now torturing me has just become a team effort. They both stand outside the bedroom scratching at the door, screaming, and taking turns bodyslamming it. I get to hear them wrestling and banging into the walls throughout the night. I have a constant fear my expensive monitor won't make it. I hear them chasing each other constantly, and they wrestle on my leather couch despite my attempts at redirecting to the cloth covered futon. Why is my sofa pillow constantly on the ground!!! The minute I turn around they are on my counters trying to steal my food, and they know its bad because they run away when I turn back. They eat the flowers I get for my girlfriend. I know cats are wild, I've had tons of cats throughout my life, but these 2 rebels are insane!
Soon I'm going to want children, I don't want them to be an issue with the kids. I also want to sleep at night knowing my apartment won't be destroyed and without the sounds of cats bodyslamming my doors and walls.
I take good care of them. They have three different cat trees to choose from, with perches spread all over. I keep water by the perches to make sure they drink water (they drink a lot and if the bowl gets empty they like to knock it down to let us know.) I free feed them high quality foods (Orijen, and they are both perfect weights), I give them treats, there is literally a kitty ball pen under my desk filled with about 50 soft bouncy toys and fake mice. They have an entire room just for them... what more can I do!!!!!!?????
(also, Psycho Kitty really needs to clean his butt better, sometimes its really gross)

Bad idea to get two kittens at once from the same litter?
Hey, so I'm a future first-time owner (waiting for my breeder's kitty to get pregnant), and I'm wondering if it's a bad idea to get two cats at once from the same litter. I work from home, but I go to uni for about 5 hours each day so I was concerned they might get depressed etc. Should I get siblings, or will a lone kitten be fine for a few hours each day?
Mainly, I'm concerned with things like how two puppies raised together are hard to toliet-train and teach in general.
Also any advice about raising kittens would be much appreciated!
