Tip for resque cat.

Hi. I need tip for my cat. Resque cat, lived in the wild for about 4 mouths. He is just introduced to the house last week. Very scared and sceptical, if we walk upright toward him he gets scared and run downstairs. He behaves better after a week but is a scracher. If he gets cuddles, he turn over on his back and start to attack quite violent. Looking for tips to turn him into a normal housecat

Second thoughts about my adopted cat..advic

Hi, So this is my very first post on reddit, so don't hate on my too much lol. So, I am a huge animal lover. I grew up with lots of birds, parrots, bunnies etc. I had been thinking about getting a cat for a long time, having never owned one before. Went to my local pet store who offer cats from various shelters for adotion. A sweet, brown 1 year old tabby cat attracted my attention. I saw her a couple of times before i decided to adopt her. At the store, she was affectionate inside her little space. When taken outside she became a little nervous due to the other cats and dogs. She doesn't like other cats. She isn't aggressive at all, just a little timid and skiddish but affectionate towards me. They told me she would become a bit more open after she gets adopted. So I took her. It's been almost a week since i've had her. She is a curious cat but also gets a little spooked by sudden noises. She is really affectionate in the mornings when I wake up, sleeps next to me or close to me. Likes head rubs a lot. She isn't interested in any toy I've gotten her so it's a little difficult to play with her. She follows me around the apartment. She also doesn't purr at all, which I'm guessing is because her mother was a stray most likely. She's really innocent, doesn't destroy anything like some cats I've heard do. When I'm home she likes to be close to me or in the same room as me. But I kinda feel as though I rushed into adopting her. I kind of want a more interactive and cuddly cat. I undeerstand all cats take time adjusting however I highly believe she's gonna stay like this. So, I'm looking around for other cats to adopt and thinking of returning her. But I feel like a horrible person for doing so. There is nothing wrong with her so I am sure she can easily get adopted again but I see that she is a little attached with me so it breaks my heart to give her away. Im sure not all adoptions are a success first time correct? Has anyone had similar experiences? Should I wait longer and see if she gets more accustomed to me and my place?
