I have a 4 month old kitten who has recently discovered he can now jump on the counter top. This is something I want to prevent him from doing long term. Any suggestions on how I can stop him from jumping on the counters? The water bottle spray method makes me nervous because I don't want him to be afraid of us. Help please!!!!

Hi there,
My cat has a small wound that we've had checked out and is all ok. but he keeps licking in and making it bleed.
We've tried the elizabethan thing, but doesn't stop him as it is near his back left leg.
Any advice as to deter this?
