Need help stopping kitten biting behavior
Recently adopted a 12 week old kitten who didn't have a very positive start to life. I've bonded very well with her, but my husband is having a tougher time. She is very mouthy and plays by biting. I've tried sour apple on my finger to deter the behavior and have also been redirecting her play biting with toys, not fingers. I have recently started ignoring her whenever she bites. I also spend a lot of time with her at night playing and petting her, trying to tire her out so she'll crash and not torture us by biting toes at night. Since I've spent a lot of time with her, I've bonded really well with her. My husband however is having a harder time. Yesterday he said, "I don't think she's a very nice cat." I think he needs to spend more time with her, but he doesn't have a lot of patience for her biting. I would never ever get rid of her, so I have to get this figured out. Any tips?
TL;DR - Kitten bites, husband doesn't like it. Need to figure out how to stop the behavior.
