Cat hates dog-advice??
My 3 year old cat has always been our only pet since we adopted her as a kitten. In March of this year we adopted a 2 year old German Shepherd. She is a very calm and mellow dog and does very well with our cat. However our cat absolutely hates her. Anytime our dog is around she tries to slap her and will stay in one spot on the couch for long periods of time. When the dog is not around she roams the house, plays with toys, etc.
If anyone has any advice/personal stories for getting our cat to get along or at least live somewhat peacefully with the dog would be great.
