Cat asking for help but don't know what she needs. (Long Post; DR)

Today when I reached to work. I saw a cat standing besides a, my guess a new born kitten in our basement parking. Initially I thought the newborn is injured so I stopped to observer. The cat ran away to some distance and started meowing. After a while the cat cam close and tried to move the kitten. She trued push and pull but the kitten was moving very slowly. So I decided to help.

I gently picked the kitten and moved it a little bit. Before I could move it far the cat started meowing again. So I had to put the kitten down. Then I tried to look for cat's other kittens. I was guessing there would be litter somewhere close. I could not find it. The kitten was right in middle of the parking lot so I picked the kitten again and moved it a little more. The 3rd time I moved it to a corner of the basement. I was already late for work so I decided to let the cat and kitten stay in corner for now which was quite isolated. I went in my office logged in and as my system was booting I decided to go back and help the kitten. I took 2 cups of milk and some biscuits from our cafeteria.

Now, when I came back things had gotten little complicated. You see I left the kitten near high tensile metal mesh. On the other side of metal mesh is building's power distribution and high power electrical switch boxes. The kitten had some how managed to squeeze itself through the mesh. The cat was still standing outside. I left the cups for cats to drink.

Now, this cat started acting strange. It runs to the edge of the metal mesh and looks at me. I decide to follow and it runs and stands near a small opening good enough for the cat. I did not see how I can help this cat anymore and I was getting late for my work so I decide to leave.

I came to check on the kitten after about 30 minutes and find the cat had drunk all the milk and was still patrolling the area. The kitten had curled itself in a corner.

I go back and come back after one and half hour. This time cat looks at me and runs few meters and waits for me. Then she runs towards another mesh fence surrounding more electrical switch boxes. She waits for me there and when I reach there she slides underneath the fencing. She gets inside the fence and started to stare at me. I could not follow her so I walk back to the kitten who is still curled up in a corner. I cant get in to get the kitten out or follow the cat where she wants to take me.

Do you think it wants more for other kitten food or something else???
