Please please help - my cat won't stop meowing!!
My 9yr female cat will not stop meowing at night! I'm at my wits end. I've tried a combination of things for 2-3 weeks at a time for over a year now and NOTHING works. I've tried spraying water while keeping the door closed, and then opened. If we keep the door open, she just walks on us at night. She's fickle and doesn't stay in one spot for long. She even walked on my face once...That clearly didn't work, so I relentlessly have ignored her and kept the door shut. She recently started scratching at the door. I put double-sided tape on it and that worked fine, but didn't stop the meowing. Tried Bach Pet Rescue Remedy - no change whatsoever. Tried a remote start vaccum as my last resort. Worked like a charm, but our apartment is small. I put it away after 2 weeks, and the meowing came back with a VENGENCE. Nowadays we still ignore her no matter what, she's always fed, played with, and has toys all over the place. She also has a cat tree, window perch, and a high perch to sleep. She is fixed as well. She still won't shut up no matter what I do...I know there's that Feliway stuff, but I don't want to invest in it without a guarantee that it will work. On a tight budget with an wedding in the fall and after all, NOTHING has worked so far. Please help! I'm desperate.
