Any Tips for Introducing a Kitten(M) to our 2 Yr Old Cat(M)?
My boyfriend adopted our cat about a year and a half ago, I came into the picture a year ago. We are adopting the kitten for a number of reasons, but one of the big is so that our little fur baby has a brother to spend time with while we're away. Our cat is great with other cats, has been caught snuggling friend's kittens before, so we have no real reason to be anxious, but we're still so scared that he's going to hate the change in dynamics. We are planning on introducing them by smell first, and very slowly work our way to being in the same room.
It should also be noted that another reason we're getting the kitten now is that we just bought a house, so he's also going to be relocating. We're just so worried that all of this is going to greatly stress him out and we want to do everything and anything possible to ensure a smooth transition.
