Queen cat and son.
Yesterday my cat gave birth to a litter of four. I'm used to cat births, litters of kittens,... But this situation is quite new to me since i have an older son from this cat of 1 year old almost. They always got along. Since she was pregnant she kept her distance from him but tolerated him. When she gave birth and she was done she also tolerated him in the house. She also tolerated him sniffing the kittens. But then he growled and hissed at the kittens. So i put her and the kittens in another room so she wont stress and he wont harm the kittens. Now my problem is earlier today i went in the room to feed her and when i left the tomcat was in the hallway just passing. When she saw him she went crazy chasing him i couldnt stop her since it all went so fast. You could see he didnt want to fight but she kept attacking him. Eventually i got them seperated again and now i am scared they will never get along again? What is the best i can do? Obviously when the kittens start to run around i cant keep them in the room. What is the best way to introduce him to the kittens at a certain age and how do i make the queen tolerate him again when the kittens start to run around the house? They are normal domesticated cats, no breed.
