Advice: housebroken stray is beating up my older cat!
We brought in a one-year-old stray cat who is very friendly (she has also been spayed and vaccinated), however, she has been beating up on our 11-year-old male cat. I think it's that she doesn't know how to play gently, and he doesn't know how to defend himself properly. He doesn't have any claws, but she does. She scratched his nose recently, and bit him and ripped a chunk of hair out of the back of his neck and he is now bloody. When she plays with humans, she is gentle (her bites are soft, and she rarely releases her claws), but she clearly plays by different rules with him. They definitely play, but it's as if she sometimes forgets that he is not a threat. What can I do?
