Cat scratches when door is closed
Hello all lovely cat owners! I have a question. I recently moved to a new home and just transferred my fur baby to the new house. When we closed the door to our bedroom while we were in the bedroom she was meowing wanting to be let in which is normal for her. But now she started clawing at the carpet in the corner trying to get in the door. She didn't do this before in the old apartment. She would meow to be let in but at least not claw at the carpet. What is the best recommendation to help her stop this habit? She does have a cardboard scratching pad that she uses regularly. But I haven't seen her use it in the new home just yet. And I'm not sure if this is just because of stress of a new house and being in a strange place. So any advice / opinions are welcome! Thanks for reading! Happy Friday!
